وافقت باكستان وأفغانستان على وقف لإطلاق النار مدة 48 ساعة اعتبارا من الساعة 13,00 بتوقيت غرينتش على ما أفادت الخارجية الباكستانية بعد مواجهات عنيفة عبر الحدود في الأيام الأخيرة.

وقالت وزارة الخارجية في بيان "الحكومة الباكستانية ونظام طالبان الأفغانية ... قررا وقفا لإطلاق النار موقتا اعتبارا من الساعة 18,00 (بالتوقيت المحلي) خلال الساعات ال48 المقبلة".

وفي كابول، قالت حكومة طالبان إنها أصدرت الأوامر لجيشها لاحترام وقف إطلاق النار مع باكستان على ما أفاد ناطق رسمي.
