أعلن قائد قوات سوريا الديمقراطية مظلوم عبدي التوصل مع السلطات السورية الى "اتفاق مبدئي" حول آلية دمج قواته ضمن وزارتي الدفاع والداخلية، لافتا الى محادثات تجري حاليا بين الطرفين في دمشق.

ووقع عبدي والرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع اتفاقا في 10 آذار، تضمّن بنودا عدّة على رأسها دمج المؤسسات المدنية والعسكرية التابعة للإدارة الذاتية الكردية في المؤسسات الوطنية بحلول نهاية العام. إلا أن تباينا في وجهات النظر بين الطرفين حال دون إحراز تقدم في تطبيقه.
