ألغت بلدية فورست في العاصمة البجليكية بروكسل حفلا لفرقة الميتال الأميركية "ديستربد" كان مقررا في 15 أكتوبر الجاري، بسبب ما وصفته بـ"مخاوف أمنية" تتعلق بمواقف المغني الرئيسي في الفرقة دافيد درايمان، الداعمة لإسرائيل.

وذكرت صحيفة "دي ستاندرد" البلجيكية أن السلطات المحلية أصدرت أمرا رسميا من الشرطة بإلغاء الحفل، الذي كان سيقام في قاعة "فورست ناسيونال"، وذلك عقب تقييم أمني سلبي من قبل الشرطة.

وقال شارل سبابينس عمدة بلدية فورست: "نظرا لحساسية الموقع ورأي الشرطة السلبي كان من واجبي اتخاذ هذا القرار"، مؤكدا أن "مسؤوليتي وأولويتي سلامة السكان والجيران والجمهور والموظفين".

ولم تصدر الفرقة الأميركية حتى الآن أي تعليق رسمي بشأن إلغاء الحفل.

وأشارت تقارير إلى أن نقابات ومنظمات محلية كانت تخطط لتنظيم احتجاجات أمام موقع الحفل، وحذرت الشرطة من وجود تهديد محتمل للأمن العام.
