أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشرقية فجر السبت على واجهتها وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها محاولتي تهريب كمية كبيرة من المواد المخدرة محملة بوساطة بالونات موجهة بأجهزة بدائية الصنع.

ووفق بيان للقوات المسلحة فإنه جرى التعامل معها وإسقاطها وحمولتها داخل الأراضي الأردنية بعد رصدها في موقعين مختلفين من قبل قوات حرس الحدود بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.
