أعلن الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الجمعة أنه سيفرض رسوما جمركية إضافية بنسبة 100% على الصين، وضوابط على تصدير البرمجيات الاستراتيجية إليها، اعتبارا من الأول من تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر، وذلك بعد أن فرضت بكين قيودا "صارمة للغاية" على تصدير المعادن النادرة.

وقال ترامب في منشور على منصة تروث سوشال إنه "بناء على هذا الموقف غير المسبوق... ستفرض الولايات المتحدة الأميركية رسوما جمركية بنسبة 100% على الصين، بالإضافة إلى أي رسوم جمركية تدفعها حاليا".
