اعتبر مقرر الأمم المتحدة الخاص بحالات الإعدام خارج نطاق القضاء وتعسفا موريس تيدبول-بنز، الجمعة، أن القصف الإسرائيلي الذي قتل في 13 تشرين الأول 2023 مصورا في وكالة رويترز وأصاب مصورين في وكالة فرانس برس، يعدّ "جريمة حرب".

وقال تيدبول-بنز خلال مؤتمر صحافي في بيروت أن هذا القصف شكّل "اعتداء متعمدا وموجها ومزدوجا من قبل قوات (الاحتلال) الإسرائيلي، ويعدّ في تقديري انتهاكا واضحا للقانون الدولي الإنساني وجريمة حرب".

وأسفر القصف عن مقتل المصور في وكالة رويترز عصام عبدالله وإصابة 6 آخرين بجروح، بينهم مصورا فرانس برس ديلان كولنز وكريستينا عاصي التي بترت ساقها اليمنى.

ونفى جيش (الاحتلال) الإسرائيلي استهداف الصحافيين.
