قاد مهاجم ليفربول الانكليزي محمد صلاح منتخب مصر إلى نهائيات كأس العالم لكرة القدم 2026 بتسجيله ثنائية في الفوز على المضيفة جيبوتي 3-0 الأربعاء على ملعب العربي الزاولي في مدينة الدار البيضاء المغربية في الجولة التاسعة قبل الاخيرة من التصفيات الإفريقية.

وسجل صلاح ثنائيته في الدقيقتين 14 و84 بعدما افتتح ابراهيم عادل النتيجة في الدقيقة 18. وعززت مصر التي بلغت النهائيات للمرة الرابعة في تاريخها، موقعها في صدارة المجموعة برصيد 23 نقطة بفارق خمس نقاط امام مطاردتها المباشرة بوركينا فاسو الفائزة على مضيفتها سيراليون 1-0.
