أشاد الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي بخطة نظيره الأميركي دونالد ترامب بشأن غزة الاثنين، قبيل مباحثات غير مباشرة في مصر بين مفاوضين عن حماس وإسرائيل والولايات المتحدة.

وقال السيسي "لا يسعني إلا أن أوجه التحية والتقدير للرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب على مبادرته التي تسعى لوقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة"، مضيفا أن "وقف إطلاق النار وعودة الأسرى والمحتجزين وإعادة إعمار غزة وبدء مسار سلمي سياسي يفضي إلى إقامة الدولة الفلسطينية والاعتراف بها تعني أننا نسير في الطريق الصحيح نحو السلام الدائم والاستقرار الراسخ".
