عشية مناقشات في مصر ترمي إلى وضع حدّ للحرب في غزة، أعلنت إيران الداعمة لحماس الأحد عن تأييدها "لأيّ مبادرة" تضمن حقّ "تقرير المصير" للفلسطينيين.

وجاء في بيان صادر عن وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية أن إيران "لطلما دعمت أيّ مبادرة ترمي إلى وضع حدّ للتطهير العرقي وجرائم الحرب والجرائم ضدّ الإنسانية في غزة وتمهيد الطريق لإعمال حقّ الشعب الفلسطيني في تقرير مصيره"، مع الإشارة إلى أن إيران مستعدّة للمشاركة في جهود إيصال المساعدات الإنسانية إلى القطاع الفلسطيني.
