الأمم المتحدة: ترحب بقرار القضاء الأميركي بشأن حصانة الاونروا

رحبت الأمم المتحدة رسميا اليوم السبت، بالقرار الذي اتخذته محكمة الولايات المتحدة الجزئية للمنطقة الجنوبية لنيويورك مؤخرا برفض شكوى قُدمت في حزيران 2024 ضد الأونروا وعدد من المسؤولين الحاليين والسابقين في الوكالة.

وقال نائب الناطق الرسمي بالأمم المتحدة، فرحان حق في تصريح لوكالة الأنباء الأردنية (بترا)، "نرحب بهذا القرار الذي يعترف بالحصانة من الإجراءات القانونية للاونروا ومسؤوليها، وهو ما يتوافق مع الإطار القانوني للأمم المتحدة، خاصة اتفاقية 1946 بشأن امتيازات وحصانات الأمم المتحدة".

يذكر أن قاضية المحكمة الجزئية الأميركية، أناليزا توريس قضت بأن الاونروا محمية بحصانة الأمم المتحدة، موضحة في قرارها أنه "كجزء من الأمم المتحدة، فإن الاونروا محمية من هذا النوع من الدعاوى".
