أعرب الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الجمعة عن اعتقاده أن حماس مستعدة للسلام وطالب إسرائيل بالتوقف عن قصف غزة، وذلك بعدما أعلنت الحركة أنها مستعدة للإفراج عن جميع الرهائن بموجب خطته لوقف إطلاق النار في القطاع الفلسطيني.

وقال ترامب على منصته للتواصل الاجتماعي تروث سوشال "بناء على البيان الصادر عن حماس، أعتقد أنهم مستعدون لسلام دائم. على إسرائيل أن تتوقف عن قصف غزة فورا حتى نتمكن من إخراج الرهائن بأمان وبسرعة!".
