عزز المنتخب الوطني لشباب وشابات ألعاب القوى رصيده في منافسات النسخة الثالثة من بطولة غرب آسيا المقامة بالعاصمة اللبنانية بحصد أربع ميداليات ملونة جديدة.

وذكرت رئيسة الوفد وعضو مجلس اتحاد اللعبة الدكتورة ريم الشمري في حديثها لـ "الرأي": حصلت مرح ابوكوش على فضية سباق ٨٠٠ متر وبرونزية لزين الور بنفس المسابقة وبرونزية لمسافة ١٠٠ حواجز عبر نانسي أبو سرحان، وخطف إلياس صالح فضية الوثب العالي.

وتقام البطولة حتى الأحد المقبل في المدينة الرياضية (بيروت) ونادي الجمهور الرياضي، تحت اشراف الاتحاد الآسيوي واتحاد غرب آسيا، وبمشاركة 9 دول (قطر، الكويت، الإمارات العربية المتحدة ، اليمن، سوريا، فلسطين، العراق، لبنان والأردن)، والمؤهلة الى بطولة العالم لألعاب القوى تحت 20 سنة في أوريغون – الولايات المتحدة الأميركية العام المقبل.
