كشفت الشرطة البريطانية في بيان أن منفّذ الهجوم الدامي صباح الخميس أمام كنيس في مانشستر الذي أرداه عناصرها قتيلا هو بريطاني من أصل سوري في الخامسة والثلاثين من العمر.

وجاء في بيان صادر عن شرطة مانشستر الكبرى أنه تمّ مساء الخميس توقيف ثلاثة مشتبه بهم، هما رجلان ثلاثينيان وامرأة ستّينية، على خلفية الاشتباه في "ارتكابهم أعمالا إرهابية والتحضير لها والتحريض عليها".
