مجلس الأمن يقرر إنشاء قوة دولية في هاييتي للحرب ضد العصابات

اعتمد مجلس الأمن الدولي قرارا، اليوم الثلاثاء، خول بموجبه الانتقال من بعثة الدعم الأمني متعددة الجنسيات في هاييتي إلى "قوة قمع العصابات" لمدة أولية تبلغ 12 شهرا.

وتم اعتماد القرار الذي حمل الرقم 2793، بأغلبية 12 دولة عضو بالمجلس، فيما صوت بالامتناع عليه الاتحاد الروسي والصين وباكستان.

وطلب القرار الذي اتخذ بموجب الفصل السابع، من "قوة قمع العصابات" أن تأخذ في الاعتبار حماية الطفل والفئات الأخرى المستضعفة كمسألة شاملة لجميع مراحل ولايتها في جميع عمليات التخطيط والتنفيذ.

وقرر المجلس أن يكون الحد الأقصى المأذون به لأفراد قوة قمع العصابات هو 5550 فردا، يتألفون من 5500 فرد نظامي، يشملون أفرادا عسكريين وشرطيين، و50 مدنيا.
