قال المفوض العام لوكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (أونروا)، فيليب لازاريني، إن تعليم الأطفال في غزة يجب أن يكون "جزءا من أي اتفاق لإنهاء الحرب" الإسرائيلية في القطاع.

وشدد لازاريني، في بيان على منصة "إكس" اليوم الثلاثاء، على أن الخطة المقترحة يجب أن تقدم بعض الأمل لأكثر من 660 ألف طفل محرومين من التعليم للسنة الثالثة، مشيرا إلى ضرورة أن تكون إعادتهم إلى التعلم "أولوية جماعية لتعزيز السلام والاستقرار الدائمين".

ولفت إلى أن الأونروا تمتلك الخبرة والبنية التحتية والمعرفة اللازمة لدعم العودة التدريجية إلى التعليم الرسمي للأطفال في القطاع الذي مزقته الحرب في حال الوصول إلى وقف إطلاق النار".
