حذرت الاستخبارات الخارجية الروسيّة من استعدادات أوكرانية لاستفزاز خطير، وقالت في بيان، إنّ "كييف تجهز لعملية في بولندا بمشاركة مجموعة استطلاع تخريبية ستدعي أن عناصرها من روسيا وبيلاروسيا".

كما لم تستبعد أنّ "تحاكي تلك العملية هجوماً على منشآت البنية التحتية الحيوية في بولندا بهدف إثارة صدى واسع".
