ذكرت وكالة ميزان للأنباء التابعة للسلطة القضائية الإيرانية أن السلطات أعدمت رجلا يدعى بهمن تشوبی أصل، الإثنين، وقالت إن المتهم كان "أحد أهم جواسيس إسرائيل في إيران".

وأعدمت طهران، التي تخوض حربا في الظل مع إسرائيل منذ عقود، العديد من الأفراد الذين تتهمهم بأن لهم صلات بجهاز المخابرات الإسرائيلي (الموساد) وتسهيل عملياته في البلاد.

وقالت وكالة ميزان: "كان الهدف الرئيسي للموساد من استقطاب تعاون المتهم هو الحصول على قاعدة بيانات المؤسسات الحكومية واختراق مراكز البيانات الإيرانية، إلى جانب ذلك سعى إلى تحقيق أهداف ثانوية أخرى، منها استكشاف مسار استيراد المعدات الإلكترونية".

وأضافت أن المحكمة العليا رفضت استئناف المتهم وأكدت حكم الإعدام بتهمة "الفساد في الأرض".
