شاركت سمو الأميرة آية بنت فيصل، رئيسة الاتحاد الأردني للكرة الطائرة وعضو مجلس إدارة الاتحاد الدولي للكرة الطائرة اليوم الأحد، في اجتماع مجلس إدارة الاتحاد الدولي للكرة الطائرة، الذي عُقد في العاصمة الفلبينية مانيلا، تزامناً مع استضافة المدينة لبطولة العالم للرجال.

وعبرت سموها في تغريدة على صفحتها الرسمية على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، عن سعادتها بالمشاركة في هذا الاجتماع، مؤكدة فخرها بالقرار التاريخي الذي اتخذه المجلس بمنح دولة قطر شرف تنظيم بطولة العالم للرجال 2029، كأول دولة عربية تستضيف هذا الحدث العالمي.

وشهد الاجتماع توقيع اتفاقية تعاون بين الاتحاد العربي والاتحاد الدولي للكرة الطائرة، تهدف إلى تطوير اللعبة في المنطقة العربية والاعتراف رسميا بالاتحاد العربي للكرة الطائرة من قبل الاتحاد الدولي.
