تفقد وزير النقل الدكتور نضال القطامين مديرية الملاحة الجوية والأرصاد في مطار الملك حسين بمدينة العقبة، مؤكدا أهمية متابعة أعمال تحسين الملاحة الجوية لضمان أمن وسلامة الطيران.

واطلع القطامين، على هامش اجتماع مجلس الوزراء الذي عقد السبت في العقبة، على أهم المشاريع التي تنفذها هيئة تنظيم الطيران المدني، ومنها نظام الاستطلاع الراداري ، ونظام الهبوط الآلي والتي من شأنها تعزيز عمل الملاحة والسلامة الجوية في العقبة، وتوفير التغطية الرادارية المتقدمة وفق المعايير الدولية.

واطلع القطامين خلال الزيارة على الخدمات التي تقدمها محطة الأرصاد الجوية في المطار، مشيرا إلى أهمية تطوير الأجهزة المعنية بالرصد الجوي لتقديم خدمات كاملة للملاحة الجوية وفق المتطلبات والممارسات الدولية.
