رحبت فرنسا وبريطانيا وألمانيا بإعادة فرض العقوبات الدولية على إيران بسبب برنامجها النووي الأحد، ودعت طهران إلى "الامتناع عن أي عمل تصعيدي".

وقال وزراء خارجية دول الترويكا الأوروبية في بيان مشترك "ندعو إيران إلى الامتناع عن أي عمل تصعيدي والعودة إلى الامتثال بالتزاماتها". أضافوا أن الدول الثلاث "ستواصل العمل مع جميع الأطراف للتوصل إلى حل دبلوماسي يضمن عدم حصول إيران على سلاح نووي".
