أعلن اتحاد البث الأوروبي (EBU)، أنه سيجري في تشرين الثاني المقبل تصويتاً عبر الإنترنت، قد يؤدي إلى طرد هيئة البث الإسرائيلية "كان" من مسابقة "يوروفيجن 2026" المقررة في فيينا.

ووفق عدد من وسائل الإعلام البريطانية، فقد جاءت هذه الخطوة بعد تهديد عدة دول أوروبية، منها إسبانيا وهولندا وإيرلندا وآيسلندا وسلوفينيا، بمقاطعة المسابقة إذا استمرت إسرائيل في المشاركة.

وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن روسيا تم حظرها من المشاركة عام 2022 عقب حرب أوكرانيا، بينما واصلت إسرائيل المنافسة رغم الاعتراضات.
