حذّر الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون الثلاثاء في خطابه أمام الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة من أن يسيطر على العلاقات الدولية نهج "البقاء للأقوى".

وقال ماكرون "هذا هو الخطر الأكبر في عصرنا... خطر أن يكون البقاء للأقوى. إنه خطر أن تسود أنانية القلّة".

وإثر الضربات القاسية التي وجّهها نظيره الأميركي دونالد ترامب من على المنبر نفسه إلى الأمم المتّحدة، دعا الرئيس الفرنسي إلى "تعدّدية فعّالة".
