عقد مجلس الأمن الدولي، اليوم الثلاثاء، جلسة بشأن فلسطين على المستوى الوزاري استمع خلالها الى إحاطة من الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، أنطونيو غوتيريش.

ورحب غوتيريش بالاعتراف بدولة فلسطين من قبل المزيد من الدول، بما في ذلك أعضاء المجلس الدائمون فرنسا والمملكة المتحدة، مشددا على أن "هذه هي أوضح طريق نحو حل الدولتين"، مع وجود إسرائيل ودولة فلسطين المستقلة ذات السيادة والديمقراطية والقابلة للحياة والتي تعيش جنبًا إلى جنب في سلام وأمان.

وأضاف: "يجب علينا استغلال هذه الديناميكية"، مشددًا على أن ما يسمى بـ"اليوم التالي" في غزة يجب أن يرتكز على القانون الدولي، ويرفض أي شكل من أشكال التطهير العرقي، ويكون له أفق سياسي واضح نحو حل الدولتين القابل للحياة.
