أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشرقية فجر الاثنين، على واجهتها وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها، (4) محاولات لتهريب كميات كبيرة من المواد المخدرة والمحملة بواسطة بالونات موجهة بأجهزة بدائية الصنع، إذ جرى التعامل معها واسقاطها وحمولتها داخل الأراضي الأردنية بعد رصدها في عدة مواقع مختلفة من قبل قوات حرس الحدود، بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات، وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة.
