أعلنت وزارة الخارجية البرتغالية مساء الجمعة أن البرتغال ستعترف رسميا الأحد المقبل بدولة فلسطين، وذلك قبيل انعقاد جلسة للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة حيث من المقرر أن تتخذ نحو 10 دول أخرى نفس الخطوة.

وأكدت الوزارة في بيان نشر على موقعها الالكتروني أن "البرتغال ستعترف بدولة فلسطين (...) وسيتم الإعلان عن الاعتراف الرسمي يوم الأحد 21 أيلول/سبتمبر".
