كشفت وزارة الخارجية البريطانية، الخميس، أن جهاز الاستخبارات الخارجية التابع لها يسعى لتجنيد جواسيس لصالحها حتى داخل روسيا من خلال استخدام شبكة الإنترنت المظلم، عبر ألية أطلقت عليها اسم "الناقل الصامت".

وذكرت الخارجية، أن جهاز الاستخبارات الخارجية (إم آي 6) يسعى لتجنيد جواسيس جدد لصالح المملكة المتحدة، بما في ذلك داخل روسيا، من خلال إطلاق بوابة إلكترونية على شبكة الإنترنت المظلم.

وأوضحت، أن المنصة الجديدة الآمنة للمراسلة، والتي تحمل اسم "الناقل الصامت"، ستستفيد للمرة الأولى من خاصية إخفاء الهوية التي يتيحها الإنترنت المظلم، في إطار جهود الجهاز لتعزيز دفاعات المملكة المتحدة ضد عدم الاستقرار العالمي والإرهاب الدولي، ونشاط أجهزة الاستخبارات المعادية.
