حذّر المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية تيدروس أدهانوم غبرييسوس الخميس من أن مستشفيات غزة التي تعاني أساسا من الضغط باتت "على حافة الانهيار" جراء توسيع الهجوم البري الإسرائيلي في شمال القطاع، مطالبا بـ"وضع حد لهذه الظروف اللاإنسانية".

وقال تيدروس في منشور على "إكس" إن "التوغل العسكري وأوامر الإخلاء في شمال غزة تؤدي إلى موجات جديدة من النزوح، تدفع بالعائلات التي تعاني في الأساس من الصدمة النفسية باتّجاه منطقة تتقلّص أكثر فأكثر لا تليق بالكرامة الإنسانية"، محذرا من أن "المستشفيات التي تعاني أساسا من الضغط، باتت على حافة الانهيار في وقت يعرقل تصاعد العنف الوصول ويمنع منظمة الصحة العالمية من إيصال معدات حيوية".
