وصف وزير المالية الإسرائيلي بتسلئيل سموتريتش قطاع غزة بأنه "ثروة عقارية هائلة"، كاشفا عن إجراء محادثات مع الولايات المتحدة لمناقشة "تقسيم" أراضي القطاع بعد الحرب.

وقال سموتريتش، خلال كلمته في مؤتمر عقاري عُقد في تل أبيب اليوم الأربعاء: "هناك ثروة عقارية هائلة في غزة تغطي تكاليفها بنفسها. بدأت بالفعل مفاوضات مع الأميركيين".

وأضاف: "أنفقنا أموالا طائلة على هذه الحرب، وعلينا الآن أن نرى كيف نُقسم الأرض بالنسب المئوية. لقد أكملنا الهدم، وهو المرحلة الأولى من تجديد المدينة، والآن يتعين علينا البناء".
