دانت فرنسا الهجوم البري الذي أطلقه الجيش الإسرائيلي الثلاثاء على مدينة غزة، ودعت حكومة بنيامين نتانياهو إلى "وضع حد لهذه الحملة التدميرية التي لم يعد لها أي منطق عسكري".

وسلطت وزارة الخارجية الفرنسية في بيان الضوء على "الوضع الإنساني والصحي الخطر للغاية الذي يتسم بالمجاعة وانعدام الوصول إلى الضروريات الأساسية والرعاية الطارئة"، ودعت إسرائيل مجددا إلى "رفع جميع القيود المفروضة على دخول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى غزة فورا" و"استئناف المفاوضات في أسرع وقت ممكن بهدف التوصل إلى وقف لإطلاق النار وإطلاق سراح جميع الرهائن".
