أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الجنوبية، صباح الثلاثاء، محاولة تهريب كمية من المواد المخدرة بواسطة طائرتين مسيّرتين (درون) على واجهتها الغربية وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها، وذلك بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات.

وجرى تطبيق قواعد الاشتباك بعد رصدهما من قِبل قوات حرس الحدود وإسقاطهما داخل الأراضي الأردنية، وتم تحويل المضبوطات للجهات المختصة.
