أكد رئيس الوزراء الإسباني بيدرو سانشيز الإثنين "إعجابه العميق بالمجتمع المدني الإسباني الذي يتحرك ضد الظلم"، وذلك غداة احتجاجات مؤيدة للفلسطينيين في مدريد أدت إلى إلغاء المرحلة الأخيرة من طواف إسبانيا للدراجات.

كذلك قال الاشتراكي سانشيز الذي ينتقد حكومة رئيس الوزراء الاسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو بشدة ويضع القضية الفلسطينية على رأس أولوياته الاثنين إنه لا ينبغي لإسرائيل المشاركة في "أي منافسة دولية ... طالما استمرت الوحشية" في قطاع غزة، مستشهدا بروسيا وبعقوبات تستهدف رياضييها منذ غزو أوكرانيا.
