أكد مندوب إدارة السير في مديرية الأمن العام، أن كوادر الإدارة تعاملت فجر الاثنين، مع حادث تدهور مركبة واصطدامها بالرصيف قبل انقلابها داخل عبارة لتصريف المياه في شارع الجيش، ضمن اختصاص مديرية وسط عمان، للقادم من جهة البلد باتجاه محطة البصراوي، نتج عنه 3 وفيات.

وعللت إدارة السير السبب بالتعامل الخاطئ مع المنعطفات، وعدم التقيد بسرعة الطريق، إضافة إلى القيادة بسرعة تجاوزت الحد المقرر بين 30 و50 كيلومتراً في الساعة.
