أشاد جوسيب غوارديولا، مدرب مانشستر سيتي بلاعبيه بعد الفوز على مانشستر يونايتد 3 - صفر في الديربي ضمن منافسات الجولة الرابعة من الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز لكرة القدم، يوم الأحد.

وصرح غوارديولا عبر قناة سكاي سبورتس عقب اللقاء الذي أقيم على ملعب الاتحاد قائلا: "لقد غيرنا القوام الأساسي للفريق، وانضم إلينا 9 لاعبين جدد في الصيف، لذا من المستحيل تخيل تكرار ما حققناه".

وأضاف المدرب الإسباني "لقد أدى اللاعبون بقوة وحماس، وأتشرف بإدخال السعادة في قلوبهم، لأنني أعرف جيدا أهمية مباراة الديربي".

وتابع قائلا: "إنها مجرد مباراة واحدة، لقد قدمنا أداء جيدا أمام توتنهام، ولكن مباراة اليوم كانت مهمة للغاية، والفوز كان مهما، لذا أدى اللاعبون بشراسة وكانوا أشبه بآلة".
