شهدت صناعة زراعة الشعر نموًا غير مسبوق خلال السنوات الأخيرة، لتصبح واحدة من أسرع القطاعات الطبية التجميلية توسعًا على مستوى العالم. وتشير الأرقام الرسمية إلى أن حجم سوق زراعة الشعر عالميًا بلغ نحو 11 مليار دولار، مع توقعات بوصوله إلى 49 مليار دولار خلال 9 سنوات فقط.

في العام الماضي، تم إجراء 4.3 مليون عملية زراعة شعر حول العالم، منها 1.5 مليون عملية في تركيا وحدها، مما يعكس المكانة المتقدمة للقطاع في بعض الأسواق العالمية.

وتشير البيانات إلى أن 87 بالمئة من عمليات زراعة الشعر يقوم بها الرجال مقابل 13 بالمئة للنساء، بينما يضطر 43 بالمئة من المرضى لإجراء أكثر من عملية واحدة بهدف زيادة كثافة الشعر.
