قالت المتحدثة باسم مكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية (أوتشا)، أولغا تشيريفكو، إن إسرائيل فرضت حكما بالإعدام على مدينة غزة، حيث لم يعد أمام الفلسطينيين سوى الاختيار بين مغادرة المدينة أو الموت.

وأضافت تشيريفكو في مؤتمر صحفي اليوم السبت، عبر الاتصال المرئي من دير البلح في قطاع غزة مع صحفيين في مقر الأمم المتحدة بنيويورك، إن "مئات الآلاف من المدنيين المرهقين والمذعورين أجبروا على النزوح إلى مناطق مكتظة بالكاد تجد فيها حتى الحيوانات الصغيرة مكانا للتحرك".
