أحرز لاعب المنتخب الوطني للملاكمة زياد عشيش، الميدالية البرونزية في بطولة العالم للملاكمة، المقامة حالياً في مدينة ليفربول البريطانية، بعد وصوله إلى الدور نصف النهائي لمنافسات وزن تحت 70 كغم.

وخسر عشيش مساء اليوم السبت، أمام الملاكم الياباني سوونريتس أوكازاوا في الدور نصف النهائي، مكتفيا بالميدالية البرونزية.

وكان "عشيش" بلغ الدور نصف النهائي بعد تحقيق ثلاثة انتصارات على كل من الأميركي كارلوس فلوريس والجورجي لوكا نيكابادزي والأوزبكي شافكاتجون بولتاييف وجميعها بنتيجة (5-0).
