أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشرقية فجر اليوم الجمعة، على واجهتها وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها محاولتي تهريب لكميات كبيرة من المواد المخدرة في موقعين مختلفين باستخدام بالونات موجهة بأجهزة بدائية الصنع، وتمكنت قوات حرس الحدود، بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات، من رصد البالونات وإسقاطها وحمولتها داخل الأراضي الأردنية، إذ تم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة.
