تابعت وزارة الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين الإفراج عن المواطنة الأردنية لانا شكري كتاو، نائبة مدير مكتب منظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (اليونيسف)، التي كانت مُحتجَزة لعدة أيام في العاصمة اليمنية صنعاء، وعودتها إلى المملكة.

وبيّن الناطق الرسمي باسم الوزارة، فؤاد المجالي، أن الوزارة تابعت القضية منذ لحظة احتجاز السيدة كتاو، من خلال مديرية العمليات والشؤون القنصلية، وبالتنسيق مع الجهات الأردنية المعنية، لضمان الإفراج عنها وتأمين عودتها إلى المملكة في أسرع وقت ممكن.

وأكّد المجالي أن هذه الجهود أثمرت عن الإفراج عن المواطنة كتاو، وأنها في طريقها الآن إلى المملكة.
