حجب النواب الفرنسيون الاثنين الثقة عن حكومة فرنسوا بايرو بعد تسعة أشهر فقط على توليه منصبه، بعد تصويت في الجمعية الوطنية دعا إليه رئيس الوزراء وخسره بفارق كبير.

وصوّت 364 نائبا لصالح حجب الثقة، بينما أبدى 194 فقط تأييدهم لبايرو. وقالت رئيسة الجمعية يائيل برون-بيفيه "بناء على المادة 50 من الدستور، على رئيس الوزراء تقديم استقالة حكومته".

وأفاد مصدر حكومي مقرب من بايرو وكالة فرانس برس، بأن رئيس الوزراء سيقدم استقالته الى الرئيس إيمانويل ماكرون صباح الثلاثاء.
