المجاعة في غزة.. تحذير أممي من "نفاد الوقت"

قال مسؤول كبير بالأمم المتحدة، الأحد، إن الوقت ينفد لوقف انتشار المجاعة في غزة، داعيا إسرائيل إلى السماح بدخول المساعدات الإنسانية دون أي عراقيل إلى المنطقة التي تخوض فيها القتال ضد حركة حماس.

وقال منسق الأمم المتحدة للإغاثة في حالات الطوارئ، توم فليتشر إن "هناك فرصة ضئيلة حتى نهاية سبتمبر، لمنع انتشار المجاعة إلى دير البلح (بوسط غزة)، وخان يونس (بجنوب غزة). هذه الفرصة تتقلص بسرعة".

ووفقا لمرصد عالمي لمراقبة الجوع، فإن مئات الآلاف من الفلسطينيين يعانون بالفعل من المجاعة، أو يواجهون خطر المجاعة في مناطق تشمل مدينة غزة، أكبر مدن القطاع والتي تشهد عملية إسرائيلية جديدة ضد حماس.
