استرجع قدامى الجزيرة لكرة القدم ذكريات الزمن الجميل وتحديداً في فترة السبعينيات بعد أن قام بعقد لقاء تحت مظلة النادي.

وأشار صاحب المبادرة وعضو مجلس الإدارة عمر الكيالي لـ «الرأي» أن تلك خطوة مهمة لأن اللاعب عندما يغادر الملعب يتم نسيانه ومن هذا المنطلق يلتقي الجزيرة أصحاب الخبرات السابقة للتذكير بنجومه وتبادل الحوارات.

وأوضح أن الحضور ناقش العديد من الشؤون الكروية بتواجد عناصر قدمت الكثير للعبة منها: نبيل بوسة وفراس القاضي واسعد دعيبس وهاني صبحا والدكتور زياد ارميلي وحمد الطحان ورفيق جودت وغالب الحوراني وكايد سكرين وإسماعيل أبو سيفو محمد خليل أئمة وعمر الكيالي، بالإضافة إلى رئيس الناديعام 1979 بسام الخصاونة ومجموعة من الهيئة العامة.

وتابع اللقاء أيضاً مجلس الإدارة برئاسة هشام غيث وهيثم العفوري وإبراهيم رحال وايسر الخصاونة.
