حذّر الرئيس دونالد ترامب الجمعة كراكاس من أن طائراتها العسكرية ستُسقط إذا شكّلت تهديدا للقوات الأميركية، غداة إعلان واشنطن أن طائرتين عسكريتين فنزويليتين حلّقتا فوق سفينة تابعة للبحرية الأميركية.

وقال ترامب في تصريح لصحافيين في المكتب البيضوي ردا على سؤال بشأن الخطوات التي سيتّخذها في حال تكررت الواقعة "إذا وضعتنا (الطائرات الفنزويلية) في موقف خطر، فسيتم إسقاطها".
