قالت المديرة العامة لشركة تطوير المفرق، ليزا الدغمي، الأربعاء، إن حجم الاستثمار في منطقة المفرق التنموية نما لعدة عوامل، منها الموقع الاستراتيجي للمنطقة وقربها من الحدود مع سوريا والعراق والسعودية، ما يجعلها نقطة جذب، إضافة إلى الحوافز المقدّمة للمستثمرين.

وأضافت الدغمي، في حديثها لـ"المملكة"، أن حجم الاستثمارات في المفرق وصل إلى 700 مليون دينار، بزيادة تُقدّر بنحو 125 مليون دينار خلال السنوات الثلاث الأخيرة.وأوضحت أن عدد العاملين داخل المنطقة التنموية يبلغ قرابة 1850 عاملًا، 70% منهم من أبناء محافظة المفرق.

وأشارت إلى أن 90% من العاملين في المصانع هم أردنيون.وتحدثت عن وجود طلب استثمار جديد يتعلق بصناعة الألبسة، إضافة لصناعات الهياكل المعدنية.
