حذّرت الأمم المتحدة الثلاثاء من أن الزلزال القوي الذي ضرب شرق أفغانستان وأسفر عن مقتل أكثر من 900 شخص، قد يؤثر على "مئات الآلاف" من الأشخاص، محذرة من ارتفاع كبير في عدد الضحايا.

وقال منسق الشؤون الانسانية للمنظمة الدولية في أفغانستان إندريكا راتواتي "نعتقد أن عدد الأفراد المتأثرين قد يصل الى مئات الآلاف"، مضيفا "لا شك في أن عدد الضحايا سيكون هائلا".
