قال الناطق باسم المؤسسة العامة للضمان الاجتماعي شامان المجالي، إن المؤسسة قررت إيقاف 96 راتبًا تقاعديًا لمواليد عام 1930 فما قبل، إضافة إلى 427 حصة من راتب تقاعدي للفئة ذاتها، وذلك إلى حين قيام المتقاعدين أو ذويهم بإجراءات إثبات الحياة لاستكمال صرف رواتبهم.

وأوضح المجالي أن الرواتب التقاعدية لمن تجاوزوا 80 عامًا لم تُوقف بعد، مؤكداً إمكانية تجنب إيقافها مستقبلًا من خلال مراجعة فروع المؤسسة، أو عبر السفارات الأردنية في الخارج، أو باستخدام خيارات أخرى مثل المكالمات المرئية والزيارات الميدانية للحالات الصحية الخاصة.
