أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشرقية، فجر الثلاثاء، على واجهتها وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها ثلاث محاولات تهريب لكميات كبيرة من المواد المخدرة، في مواقع مختلفة باستخدام بالونات موجهة بأجهزة بدائية الصنع.

وتمكنت قوات حرس الحدود، بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات، من رصد البالونات وإسقاطها وضبط حمولتها داخل الأراضي الأردنية، وتم تحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة.
