ذكرت صحيفة نيويورك تايمز الأحد أن الولايات المتحدة علقت الموافقة على التأشيرات لجميع من يحملون جواز سفر فلسطيني تقريبا.

وذكرت الصحيفة، نقلا عن مسؤولين لم تفصح عن هوياتهم، أن القيود تتجاوز ما أعلنته إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترامب في وقت سابق على القادمين من غزة، إذ ستمنع الفلسطينيين من السفر إلى الولايات المتحدة لأغراض تلقي العلاج الطبي والالتحاق بالجامعات ورحلات العمل.

وأعلنت وزارة الخارجية الأميركية قبل أسبوعين أنها ستوقف جميع تأشيرات الزيارة للأفراد القادمين من غزة لحين إجراء مراجعة "شاملة ودقيقة"، وهي خطوة نددت بها جماعات مؤيدة للفلسطينيين.
