ألغى رئيس الوكالة اليهودية في إسرائيل، دورون ألموغ، زيارة كانت مقررة إلى جنوب إفريقيا خشية اعتقاله.

وتعتقد الوكالة اليهودية أن نشطاء مناهضين لإسرائيل في جنوب إفريقيا التي تُعد من أشد المنتقدين لتل أبيب وتقود دعوى ضدها في محكمة العدل الدولية، بتهمة الإبادة الجماعية في غزة، ربما يسعون لإصدار أمر قضائي باعتقال ألموغ، وفق صحيفة "تايمز أوف إسرائيل" اليوم الأحد.

ويُذكر أن مناهضين لإسرائيل في عدة دول، حاولوا سابقاً استصدار أوامر لاعتقال جنود إسرائيليين بتهم ارتكاب جرائم حرب في غزة عن سفرهم إلى الخارج.

ويُذكر أن ألموغ، هو جنرال متقاعد في الجيش الإسرائيلي، وله قرابة عائلية مع عدد من الذين أُسروا في هجوم حماس في 7 أكتوبر(تشرين الأول) 2023 على إسرائيل الذي أشعل الحرب على غزة.
