أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الجنوبية، مساء الجمعة، محاولة تهريب كمية من المواد المخدرة بواسطة طائرة مسيّرة (درون) على واجهتها الغربية وضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها، وذلك بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات.

وجرى تطبيق قواعد الاشتباك بعد رصد الطائرة المشيرة من قِبل قوات حرس الحدود وإسقاطها داخل الأراضي الأردنية، وتم تحويل المضبوطات للجهات المختصة.
