أعلن البيت الأبيض الجمعة أن الرئيس دونالد ترامب لا يزال يعمل على عقد لقاء بين الزعيمين الروسي والأوكراني، وذلك بعد أن حذّر الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون من "تلاعب" فلاديمير بوتين بنظيره الأميركي.

وقال مسؤول في البيت الأبيض لوكالة فرانس برس طالبا عدم كشف هويته "يواصل الرئيس ترامب وفريقه للأمن القومي التواصل مع المسؤولين الروس والأوكرانيين من أجل عقد اجتماع ثنائي لوقف القتل وإنهاء الحرب".
